Ruth E. Kemrer
June 2, 1927 — January 13, 2016
Ruth E. Kemrer, 88, a long time resident of Muncy, died Wednesday , January 13, 2016 at Elmcroft Senior Living Center, Lewisburg.
Born June 2, 1927 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Bruce and Dorothy (Gortner) Miller. She married Ralph W. Kemrer, who preceded her in death March 20, 2008. Together they celebrated 60 years of marriage.
Ruth was a member of the Glenn Sharrow Post #35 American Legion Auxiliary in Hughesville. Earlier in life she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking, baking and flower gardening.
Ruth was a loving wife and mother.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Sharon Kemrer, of Selinsgrove; two brothers and sisters-in-laws, Donald and Ann Miller, of Hughesville and Bruce and Martha Miller, of Montoursville; and three sisters and brothers-in-laws, Beverly and Pete Smith and Margaret Ann and George Campbell, all of Hughesville and Carol and Keith Wilkins, of York.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters and brothers-in-laws, Betty and Rich Hill and Elma and Harry Phillips.
A graveside memorial service will be announced in the spring.
