Ruth I. Snyder, 69, of Watsontown, died Monday, January 18, 2016 at her home.
She was born September 24, 1946 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Lewis T. and Rena I. (Brown) Tyson. Ruth and her husband, Michael Snyder, who survives, were married August 26, 2005, and celebrated 10 years together.
She attended Watsontown High School and retired after nearly 30 years working at the former H. Warshaw, Milton in which she dyed fabric. Ruth later worked part time for Keystone Human Services assisting others in need.
She attended First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Watsontown earlier in life.
Ruth enjoyed going to craft shows, collecting Longaberger baskets and going for walks.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one son and daughter-in-law, Scott E. and Diane Hoey, of Hagerstown, MD; two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda L. and Barry Rider, of Watsontown, Angel R. Hoey, of New Columbia and Ron Winder, of Watsontown; one sister, Doris J. Lynn, of Shamokin; eight grandchildren, B.J., Kourtni, Kimberley, Jenna, Tyler, Steven, Kira and Ashley; and five great-grandchildren, Evin, Noah, Drake, Abigail and Leighton.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by two brothers, Ray L. and Bruce L. Tyson; and one sister, Edna A. Nogle.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown.
