Sally Keithan Moore, 79, of Lewisburg, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
She was born July 7, 1935 in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Arthur and Rose (Elliot) Keithan. On September 7, 1957, she married Kenneth Moore, who survives. Together they celebrated 57 years of marriage.
Sally was a 1953 graduate of Sunbury High School. In her younger years, she was employed by her family owned bakery, the former Keithan’s Bakery, Sunbury. After her marriage to Ken, she moved to Williamsport and worked at the former L.L. Stearns Department Store. Sally also lived in New York, Long Island, Maine and Connecticut. She worked for McDonald’s over 25 years while living in these various states. Following Ken’s retirement she moved to Lewisburg.
She was a member of Beaver Memorial United Methodist Church, Lewisburg.
Sally was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 266, Sunbury. She loved roses and enjoyed caring for rosebushes at her home.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Michael Moore, of California and Craig Moore, of Arizona; one sister, Nancy Kramer, of New York; and two grandsons, Jonathan and Jason Moore.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by one son, Richard Moore.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to Noon, Thursday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 South 2nd Street, Lewisburg, where a Funeral Service will be held at Noon with her pastors, Rev. Rebecca Foote and Timothy Hogan, officiating.
