Scott A. Reilly, 64, of Muncy, died Thursday, August 25, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born August 2, 1952 in Danville, a son of the late Margaret (Hogendobler) Deitrich and Donald Deitrich. On November 5, 1994 he married the former Dusteen “Dusty” Bower, who survives. Together they celebrated 21 years of marriage.
Scott was a 1970 graduate of Danville High School and received a bachelors degree from the former Williamsport Area Community College, now Penn College. He was a veteran serving honorably in the U.S. Army.
Scott worked in management for PP&L, Montoursville, retiring after 43 years.
He was a member of the Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, Milton.
The most important thing in Scott’s life was his family, where he was affectionately known by many as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and mentor.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son and daughter-in-law, Scott Allen II and Rebecca Reilly, of Carrollton, VA; a daughter, Carey Nicole Raleigh, of Virginia Beach, VA; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Toni and Pat Toomey and Jan and John Cosgrove, all of Lancaster and Lori Reilly, of Danville; four grandchildren, Nick, Zachary, Adyson and Chloe; his father, John Reilly, of Danville; and 17 nieces and nephews, Tammy, Sabrina, Nicole, Adam, Jessica, Aaron, Mackenzie, Lauren, Sage, Dylan, Cassie, Maggie, Emily, Ryan, Ashley, Nathan and Liam.
In addition to his mother and step father, he was predeceased by a brother, Steve Reilly and a niece, Becky.
A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 10 am Monday at the Muncy Cemetery, 204 E. Penn St., Muncy, with his minister, Pastor B. Keith Mowen, officiating.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Scott’s name be made to Susquehanna Hospice. Please make checks payable to Susquehanna Health Foundation and mail to 1001 Grampian Boulevard, Williamsport, PA 17701.
