Sherry L. Alexander

Sherry L. Alexander, 67, of Muncy, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the Muncy Valley Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center.

Born July 23, 1946 in Muncy, she was the daughter of the late Randall “Nick” and Emma Louise (Berge) Bennett. On January 3, 1986 she married Gary Alexander, who survives. Together they celebrated 28 years of marriage.

Sherry was a 1964 graduate of Muncy High School. She worked at Data Papers, Muncy for 32 years, retiring in 2010.

Sherry was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Muncy and a former member of the Muncy Business & Professional Women Association.

Earlier in life, she was a cheerleading advisor for the Pop Warner football league. Sherry also enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four daughters and two sons-in-law, Wendy and Terry Grinestaff, of Lancaster, Michelle Musser, of Harrisburg, Deborah Alexander, of Flourtown and Donnah and Brian Hoffman, of Chalfont; one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Lisa Alexander, of Watsontown; a brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Debra Bennett, of Hughesville; three grandchildren, twins, Alexander “AJ” and Jamilee Hoffman and James “Jake” Hoffman; and nine step grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 11 to noon on Saturday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.

The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Lycoming Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
