Terry Wayne Reynolds

Terry Wayne Reynolds, 70, of Lewisburg, died Monday, June 19, 2023, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born March 27, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee. Terry was a son of the late Charles Reynolds. On February 24, 1978, he married Patricia (nee. Cates), who survives. Together they celebrated 45 years of marriage.

Terry served honorably in the U.S. Marines before moving on to the Shelby County Sheriffs Department and then the Bureau of Prisons. He retired as Associate Warden from BOP. After retiring he held various titles and positions.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and tinkering with anything that had a motor. It gave Terry great pleasure playing Santa at various functions, including his grandchildren’s daycare and local nursing homes. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are his children, Michelle (Gary) Trate, of Milton; Michael (Sarah) Desjardins, of Lewisburg, Khristopher (Amy) Reynolds, of Springfield and Kathryn Reynolds, of York; one brother, Larry (Carol) Reynolds, of Mississippi; one sister, Diane Reynolds, of Lewisburg; 15 grandchildren, Lindsey (Drew), Kristin (Art), Zane, Sean (Irene),  Keysha (Sam), Amy (Brent), Ashley (Nate), Lauren, Michael, Alex, Emily, Belle, Brandyn, Haley and Taylor; six great-grandchildren, Keegan, Baylor, Luke, Lilah, Austin and Abigail; his step mother, Alice and his 15 kitties

In addition to his father, he was predeceased by two brothers, Gary and Rodney Reynolds and his mother-in-law, Alma Causey.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
