Theodore L. "Ted" Williams, 66, of 306 Mahoning St., Milton, died Friday, December 9, 2016 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born May 26, 1950 in Danville, a son of the late Leon C. and Marian E. (Deaner) Williams. On Oct. 1, 1977, he married the former Carolyn Pursell, who survives. Together they celebrated 39 years of marriage.

Ted was a 1969 graduate of Milton High School and a 1971 graduate of Thompson Business Institute where he received an associates degree in Accounting.

Earlier in life, Ted excelled in tennis and participated in a local amateur hardball league, where he was the catcher. He was a lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Reds. An avid music fan, he enjoyed listening to Bob Dylan, attending bluegrass festivals, and playing the guitar, mandolin and harmonica. Ted also enjoyed history, current events and politics.

He was a local and active member of the AFSCME Union.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Dr. Jason R. Williams and Elizabeth A. Williams Walls.

As per Ted's request, there will be no services.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown.
