Thomas M. Weaver, Sr.

Thomas M. Weaver, Sr., 87, of 687 Noaker Rd., Milton, died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Milton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born December 26, 1928 in Lewisburg a son of the late Oscar Martin and Laura June (Wirth) Weaver. He and his wife, the former Eleanor L. Straub, were married April 8, 1961.  Together they celebrated 47 years of marriage before her death March 31, 2010.

Thomas was self-employed most of his life, working in the construction and masonry fields.

He attended Crossroads Church of the Nazarene, Milton.

Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family when he could.  He was also well-known for baking cookies that he shared with many.

Surviving are six sons and three daughters-in-law, Thomas II and Carol Weaver, of Buffalo Mills, Samuel Weaver, of Milton, David Weaver, of Northumberland, Robert Weaver, of Danville, Fred and Linda Weaver, of Milton and Oscar and Lisa Weaver, of New Columbia; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and J. Stephen Walker, of Whitehall, Kathleen and Richard Jr. Wesner, of Lewisburg and Mary Rebecca and Ray Minnier, of Sunbury; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his first wife, the former Dorothy E. Shissler; one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter and eight siblings.

The family is planning a memorial service for 11 a.m. Saturday, at Crossroads Church of the Nazarene Lodge, 71 Nazarene Lane, Milton, with Pastor Larry Keiser, officiating.

The family is being assisted by the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
