Timothy R. "Tim" Jarrett

Timothy R. “Tim” Jarrett, 59, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born October 26, 1955 in Lewisburg, a son of Richard and Marian (Klingler) Jarrett.

Tim was a 1973 graduate of Lewisburg High School and an avid Green Dragon supporter and representative of the Green Dragon Foundation. He was also a member of the Lewisburg Alumni Association, where he was on the Board of Directors. Tim was a 1977 graduate of Lock Haven State College.

Tim retired in January of 2014 from the Lewisburg School District where he had been the Driver’s Education Teacher and a coach of numerous sports.

He formerly attended Christ’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewisburg.

He was a Life member and financial secretary of the Buffalo Valley Sportsman’s Club, where he volunteered with various activities and enjoyed working with young people. An avid outdoorsman, Tim was a member of the Mountain Grove Hunting Club. He also enjoyed fishing and loved taking his nephews fishing in Canada.

Tim was a former baseball and softball umpire; he also played fast pitch softball with Stamm’s TV for many years.

Surviving in addition to his parents, of Lewisburg are a brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Nanette Jarrett, of New Columbia; two sisters, Cherie Jarrett and her spouse, Mary Lou Shedden, of New Columbia and Jodi Jarrett, of Lewisburg; three nephews, Jason Jarrett and his wife, Jennifer, Justin Jarrett and Jonathan Jarrett and his wife, Sara: and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 100 S. Third St., Lewisburg, where a memorial service will be held at 5 p.m., with the Rev. William S. Henderson, officiating, assisted by pastor Dan May.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Lewisburg cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Tim’s name be made to the Lewisburg Area Alumni Association, P. O. Box 38, Lewisburg, PA 17837.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, S. Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.
