Timothy J. "Slip" Moser

February 12, 1953 — September 23, 2017

Timothy J. “Slip” Moser, 64, of Winfield, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017, at Watsontown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born February 12, 1953, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Jack and Faylene (Stuck) Moser.  On November 20, 1986, he married Mary Newton, who survives. Together they celebrated 30 years of marriage.

Tim was a 1971 graduate of Lewisburg high school.  He retired in 1996 as a Deputy Warden from the Union County Prison.  He also worked many years sanding floors for the Kerstetter Brothers.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman early in life, enjoying the outdoors.  Tim was well known for the smile on his face, always looking to have a good time.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two brothers, Arthur Moser Sr. and his wife, Peg, of Lewisburg, and Robert Moser and his wife, Pat, of Chambersburg; one sister, Barbara Miller and her husband, Jon, of Harrisburg; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, October 13 at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 106 S. Second St., Lewisburg, where a memorial service will be held at 3 p.m.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions in Tim’s name be made to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. 3rd St, Williamsport, PA 17701 or online at www.cancer.org.
