Timothy L. Stover

Timothy L. Stover, 68, of Selinsgrove, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born December 15, 1950 in Lewisburg, a son of the late Irvin and Myrtle (Bowes) Stover.

Tim was a 1968 graduate of Lewisburg High School.

Earlier in life, he worked as a quality control engineer at the former Pennsylvania House Furniture Company, Lewisburg for 25 years. Tim later worked for the Lawrence-McFadden Co., Philadelphia. Most recently, he owned and operated BV Billiards, Mifflinburg and Break-N-Run Billiards, Selinsgrove.

His love for the outdoors and nature was evident, particularly for birds, trees, and flowers. Tim enjoyed hunting with his family. He also played golf, fast-pitch softball for the Milton and Lewisburg leagues and was the president of the BCA Billiard Congress of America. Tim also had a passion for Native American history and searching local fields for arrowheads.

He is survived by his loving companion of 20 years, Diane Treas, of Selinsgrove; six children, Linley Stover, of California, Lisa Orth and her husband, Peter, of Oklahoma, Ashley Gossens and her husband, Tristan, of Washington, Chris Treas and his wife, Marge, Shelley Spencer and her husband, Tony, all of Sunbury and Dave Treas and his wife, Laura, of Harrisburg; three brothers, Irvin “Bud” Stover, of Northumberland, Jack  Stover and his wife, Linda, of Lewisburg and David Stover, of New Berlin; and five grandchildren, Maelia and Analee Orth, Evelyn Gossens and Madison and Connor Treas.

He was predeceased by his two brothers, Richard and James Stover.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg.
