Vincent C. "Vinny" Klusmeyer

March 18, 1931 — March 25, 2018

Vincent C. “Vinny” Klusmeyer, 87, of 757 Gardner Rd., Unityville, died Sunday, March 25, 2018 at his home.

Born March 18, 1931 in Baldwin, Long Island, NY, he was a son of the late William and Gloria (Russo) Klusmeyer. He and his wife the former Evelyn C. Lynes were married 62 years before her death on May 13, 2016.

Vinny served honorably with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a sheet metal worker and supervisor at Bethlehem Steel.

Vinny always put his family first. He was the best father anyone could ever ask for. Vinny was loud, he was direct and you knew you were in trouble when he called you “Chief”. Growing up on Long Island, Vinny had a love of the water and his boat. Moving to Unityville his second love would be his land.

He was always on the go, sometimes to a fault, where he earned his latest nick name “Vinny Knuckles,” after an incident with his chainsaw. He could fix anything and was the “go to” guy for everything.

A big hole has been left in our hearts and the community. He will be badly missed by his two daughters and son-in-law, Patty and Tom Sanguedolce, of Muncy and Chris Cowne, of Unityville; three grandchildren, Nicholas Zazzi, Anthony (Christina) Zazzi and Evelyn Hill; one step granddaughter, Dawn Sanguedolce; and two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Ava Sofia Zazzi.

He was predeceased by everyone but his sister-in-law, Rose Tucker, of Winter Garden, FL.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial Contributions in Vinny’s name may be made to Beckoning Cat Project, 1417 East Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.

The family is being assisted by Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy.
