W. Steve Klinefelter

W. Steve Klinefelter, 54, of Muncy, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at the Muncy Valley Hospital Emergency Room.

Born July 29, 1959 in Muncy, he was the son of the late William and Arlene (Gardner) Klinefelter.

Steve was a 1978 graduate of Muncy High School and also attended a watch repair school in Jamestown, PA.  He was a member of Muncy Baptist Church.

He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching Muncy High School wrestling and closely followed other local high school athletes through the media.  Steve was also a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved watching any professional baseball team except the New York Yankees.

Surviving are his companion, Loretta Temple, of Muncy; Loretta’s children, Shawn Temple, of Muncy and Chris (Corrine) Gearhart, of Maryland; Loretta’s grandchildren, Ethan and Gavin Gearhart; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two uncles, N. Dennis and Benjamin Gardner.

Friends will be received from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, with Rev. Robert W. Rice of Muncy Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Muncy Baptist Church, 11 W. Penn St., Muncy, PA 17756 or the Susquehanna Health Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center, Muncy and mail to 1001 Grampian Blvd,. Williamsport, PA 17701 (make check payable to Susquehanna Health Foundation and indicate Skilled Nursing) or the Muscular Dystrophy Association online at http://mda.org/ways-to-help
