Wanda Kay Hawk, 72, of Muncy, died Thursday, April 25, 2019 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport.
Born May 22, 1946 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Paul E. and Esther E. (Bower) Feigles. She and her husband, George I. Hawk Sr., celebrated 51 years of marriage before his death Sep. 7, 2016.
Wanda worked for many years as a nurse’s aid at Loyalsock View and the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.
She was fond of arts and crafts, especially painting. Wanda enjoyed watching QVC and collecting antiques. Most of all she loved her dog Troubles, who was always by her side.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, George I. Jr. and Carolyn Hawk, of Cogan Station; a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Bradley Bowers, of Enola; a brother and sister-in-law, Cliff and Rita Feigles, of Muncy; a sister, Martha Regina Fornwalt, of Watsontown; and four grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth, Spencer Charles, Madison Kay and Sydney Louise.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Paul “Jack” Feigles and a sister, Harriet “Toot” Jordan.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Officiating will be Rev. Arlene Beechert, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Muncy.
Burial will follow in the Muncy Cemetery.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions in Wanda’s name be made to either the SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701 or to the American Cancer Society, Lycoming Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
