Wanda J. Stahl, 79, formerly of Watsontown, died Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
She was born on September 1, 1935 in Indianapolis, IN, a daughter of the late Leo and Mildred (Hamilton) Zike. On August 14, 1953, she married Clifford H. Stahl, Jr., who preceded her in death on June 11, 2004. Together they celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Wanda was a 1953 graduate of Milton High School. She retired with over 25 years as a nurse's aide at the former United Methodist Home, now Riverwoods, Lewisburg.
She was a former member of Watsontown United Methodist Church, and most recently a member of Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton.
Wanda enjoyed raising her family and had a passion for crocheting.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Linda Stahl, of Milton and Samuel and Teresa Stahl, of Kentucky; one daughter, Gail Stahl, of Tyler Hill; three sisters, Fern Sheely, of Virginia, Suella Barto, of Mechanicsburg, and Juanita Moore, of Milton; one sister-in-law, Gisela Zike, of Indiana; six grandchildren, Billie Jo Houtz, Aprile Englehart, William Moyer, Lori Hnatko, Penny Riley and Christopher Hnatko; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, Mark Stahl; two brothers, Robert and Clarence Zike; and two sisters, Martha Roche and Sharon Rhodes.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown and again from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Erik Ireland of Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton, officiating.
Burial will follow in Watsontown Cemetery.
