William E. Livingston

William E. Livingston,96, of Watsontown,died Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born April 10, 1928 in Jersey Shore, he was a son of the late Clarence and Jennie (Geary) Livingston.  He married the former Rae Ona App, who predeceased him in death.  William later married the former Catharine “Kate” Walker, who survives.

Bill attended Montgomery Area Schools.  He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad for 14 years and the former Alltel, now Windstream, for 27 years, before retiring.

Bill was a former member of St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church, Montgomery, and current member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Watsontown.

He enjoyed antiques, gardening, tinkering and working with wood, building many different projects.  Bill loved the outdoors, and spent many winters in Florida through the years.  He was also an avid Penn State Football fan.

Surviving are three children, Clarence “Skip” Livingston and his wife, Cathy, of Montgomery, Marcia Murray and her husband, T. Shane, of Montandon, and Tammy Wolfe and her husband, John, of Turbotville; two step children, Robert Stoudt and his wife, Hue, of Milton, and Gary Stoudt and his wife, Nel, of Turbotville; one son-in-law, John Knight and his companion, Donna Fosselman, of Muncy; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 6 step grandchildren, and 2 step great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and first wife, he was predeceased by one daughter, Linda Knight; and two sisters, Audrey Baylor and Madelyn Jones.

Friends will be received from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 20at Trinity United Church of Christ, 602 Main Street, Watsontown, where a Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 p.m.with Pastor Donald Snyder, officiating.

Private burial will take place in St. John Lutheran “Brick” Church cemetery.
