Wilma F. Mattioli, 97, of Lewisburg, PA passed away Friday, January 6, 2023 at her home.

She was a daughter of the late William P. Forrester and Eva (Cox) Forrester, of Greenville and Mauldin; SC. Wilma married Anthony J. Mattioli, of Lewisburg and Nanticoke, PA, who predeceased her August 1, 1969.

Wilma graduated at the age of 16 from Mauldin High School as Valedictorian.  After graduation from Draughon’s Business College, she worked as a secretary for an optometric firm and then for an architectural firm in Greenville. Following her husband’s death in 1969, she was employed at the Union County Courthouse in the offices of Penn State Extension and the Union County Historical Society.

She loved dogs, flowers and South Carolina.

Wilma is survived by her daughter, Lisa Drewicz (John); a grandson, Robert Drewicz (Sarah), of Gilbertsville, PA; a granddaughter, Dr. Amanda E. Drewicz (Andy Bray), of Leads, England; four great-grandsons, Henry and Xavier Drewicz, Abel Jackson, Robert William  Bray and her little pug, Sweetie.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, three sisters; a dear friend Paul Thurston and her beloved Pomeranian, Dolly.

At Wilma’s request, there will be no services.

Burial will be held in the family plot at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Simpsonville, SC.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis streets, Lewisburg.
