Family is the reason I chose to enter this profession more than forty-five years ago. Back then I watched my own family deal with death. I wanted to know the proper things to say and do ….. I wanted to help. So I went to mortuary school, studied hard, and worked in various funeral homes. I discovered that I derived a certain measure of emotional satisfaction from guiding a family through their decisions; listening to their individual needs and watching their feelings grow from sorrow to solace.
While raising my family I had several opportunities to meet your family. Whether it was at church or school, on the football field or basketball court, volunteering at the hospital lawn party or helping at the community egg hunt, I met your family. In a small community that's not hard to do.
Now my family assists me in helping your family during those first difficult days following the death of a loved one. Our staff includes my son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Tara, and two other licensed funeral directors, Rebekah Golla, Robert Guth IV.

Growing up in a funeral home is not something many people can say. As a child, it was a unique experience and while friends and peers thought it was strange, for me, it was home. As I grew older and later entered the work force myself, I began to realize the value that funeral service offers.
After spending five years working in IT for Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, I realized helping others was not only satisfying but something I wanted to spend my life doing. In 2010, I made the choice to work full time with my family to help serve the grieving families in our community. In 2016 I was able to purchase the funeral home from my father and am blessed to this day to have his guidance, as well as other family, by my side.
